Description

A cozy and comforting baked salmon dish featuring a creamy lemon butter sauce that elevates the flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 minced garlic clove
  • 2 tablespoons old-style Dijon mustard
  • 5 skinless salmon fillets (about 5 oz each)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • Salt (to taste)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons minced garlic cloves
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 12 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon parsley (finely chopped)
  • Lemon slices for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Mix together the lemon juice, olive oil, minced garlic, and Dijon mustard until well combined.
  3. Coat the salmon fillets in the marinade, ensuring they’re evenly covered. Season with black pepper and salt.
  4. Place the marinated salmon in a skillet or baking dish, and bake for about 10-15 minutes, until tender and flaky.
  5. Melt the unsalted butter in a saucepan over low-medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
  6. Stir in the heavy cream, bringing it to a gentle boil to thicken slightly. Add additional lemon juice if desired.
  7. Once cooked, gently pour the creamy sauce over the salmon fillets. Let rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.
  8. Serve with parsley and lemon slices for extra brightness.

Notes

Make-ahead marinade for deeper flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
