Description

A cozy Biscuits and Gravy Casserole filled with warm, flakey biscuits and creamy sausage gravy, perfect for family dinners or weekend brunches.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans of refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1 pound of breakfast sausage
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup of shredded cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the breakfast sausage in a large skillet over medium heat until browned; drain any excess fat.
  3. Stir in the flour until well combined and coat the sausage.
  4. Slowly add the milk, stirring constantly until the gravy thickens; season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Cut the biscuit dough into quarters and spread them evenly in a greased casserole dish.
  6. Pour the gravy over the biscuit pieces to coat.
  7. If desired, sprinkle the shredded cheese on top.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown and gravy is bubbling.
  9. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Make ahead by preparing the gravy and biscuit mixture a day earlier. Store in the refrigerator and bake before serving.
