- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning

Instructions
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion, bell pepper, and celery; sauté until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in the garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
- Sprinkle the flour over the sautéed vegetables and stir to combine. Cook for 2-3 minutes, allowing the flour to develop a bit of color.
- Gradually whisk in the chicken broth, bringing the mixture to a simmer. Watch it thicken beautifully!
- Add the Cajun seasoning, shrimp, and heavy cream. Stir gently and let it simmer for about 5-7 minutes, or until the shrimp are cooked through and tender.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, deepening those rich flavors.
- Serve over fluffy rice and garnish with chopped green onions for a pop of freshness.
Notes
For a spicy kick, add extra cayenne pepper or jalapeños. This dish can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to three days.
