Description

A creamy, no-bake dessert with layers of mascarpone and fresh cherries that brings comfort and joy.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup strong coffee, cooled
  • 1/2 cup amaretto liqueur (or almond extract mixed with water)
  • 24 ladyfingers
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup cherries, pitted and chopped
  • 1/2 cup cherry sauce (homemade or store-bought)
  • Cocoa powder or grated chocolate for dusting

Instructions

  1. Mix the cooled coffee and amaretto (or your non-alcohol substitute) in a shallow dish. Dip each ladyfinger briefly into the coffee mixture.
  2. Combine the mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, and powdered sugar in a bowl. Whip until smooth and creamy.
  3. Layer the soaked ladyfingers in a serving dish, spreading some of the cherry mixture over them.
  4. Add a layer of the mascarpone mixture on top of the cherries.
  5. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a mascarpone layer on top.
  6. Drizzle the cherry sauce over the top and dust with cocoa powder or grated chocolate.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 240 minutes or overnight. Serve chilled.
