Ingredients

- 1 cup strong coffee, cooled
- 1/2 cup amaretto liqueur (or almond extract mixed with water)
- 24 ladyfingers
- 1 cup mascarpone cheese
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup cherries, pitted and chopped
- 1/2 cup cherry sauce (homemade or store-bought)
- Cocoa powder or grated chocolate for dusting
Instructions
- Mix the cooled coffee and amaretto (or your non-alcohol substitute) in a shallow dish. Dip each ladyfinger briefly into the coffee mixture.
- Combine the mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, and powdered sugar in a bowl. Whip until smooth and creamy.
- Layer the soaked ladyfingers in a serving dish, spreading some of the cherry mixture over them.
- Add a layer of the mascarpone mixture on top of the cherries.
- Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a mascarpone layer on top.
- Drizzle the cherry sauce over the top and dust with cocoa powder or grated chocolate.
- Refrigerate for at least 240 minutes or overnight. Serve chilled.
