Description

Delight in these creamy Chocolate Chip Cheesecake Bars, layered with gooey cookie dough, perfect for any cozy gathering.


Ingredients

  • 40 oz Refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough
  • 16 oz Cream cheese, softened
  • 1 large egg, at room temperature
  • 1/4 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional for a zesty touch)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Place the chocolate chip cookie dough in the freezer for a few hours to make it easier to slice.
  3. Allow the cream cheese to soften at room temperature.
  4. Set the large egg out until it is at room temperature.
  5. Line a 13×9-inch pan with parchment paper or non-stick foil for easy removal.
  6. Slice half of the cookie dough into 1/4-inch thick slices and place them in the bottom of the lined pan. Press the cookie dough down firmly to form a crust.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, until just golden.
  8. While the crust is baking, beat the softened cream cheese, egg, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract together with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy.
  9. As soon as the crust comes out of the oven, spread the cheesecake batter evenly over it.
  10. Slice the remaining cookie dough and place it over the cheesecake layer, evenly distributing.
  11. Return the pan to the oven and bake for an additional 35 to 40 minutes, until the cheesecake is set.
  12. Allow the dessert to cool, then refrigerate before serving for the best texture.

Notes

These bars can be made a day ahead. For perfect slices, dip your knife in hot water and wipe it clean between cuts.
