Description

A delightful and nostalgic dessert featuring sweet cherry pie filling and crushed pineapple, topped with a buttery cake mix.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (16 oz) Can of crushed pineapple
  • 1 (28 oz) Can Cherry Pie filling
  • 1 (18 oz) Yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup Chopped pecans
  • 1 Stick butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9″x11″ baking pan with butter or cooking spray.
  3. Add the crushed pineapple to the prepared pan and spread it out evenly.
  4. Layer the cherry pie filling on top of the crushed pineapple.
  5. Combine the chopped pecans with the yellow cake mix in a bowl.
  6. Sprinkle the mixture evenly over the fruit layer.
  7. Slice the butter into pats and dot them across the top of the cake mix.
  8. Place the pan in the oven and bake for 45 to 55 minutes.

Notes

Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream for extra comfort.
