- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups chopped apples
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- Mix together the flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon until well blended.
- Whisk together the melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until creamy and combined.
- Combine the wet ingredients with the dry mixture, stirring gently until just blended.
- Fold in the chopped apples.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan and sprinkle the top with brown sugar, then add the remaining batter on top.
- Bake in your preheated oven for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the bread cool before transferring it to a wire rack for easy slicing.
Notes
This apple bread can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for up to 5 days. It also freezes beautifully.
