Description
A refreshing blend of Earl Grey tea and tart raspberries, perfect for summer afternoons and gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups water
- 2 Earl Grey tea bags
- 1/2 cup fresh or frozen raspberries, plus more for garnish
- 2 tablespoons honey or sugar (adjust to taste)
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- Ice cubes
- Fresh lemon slice or a mint sprig for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Brew the tea by adding half of the water (1 cup) to a small saucepan and bring it to a gentle simmer. Keep the other cup of water in the refrigerator for later. Once simmering, add the raspberries and mash them gently with a spoon or fork to release their juices. Then, add the two tea bags and brew for about 5 minutes.
- Strain the tea mixture into a heat-proof pitcher or container to remove the solids. Stir in the freshly squeezed lemon juice and your choice of honey or sugar. Adjust sweetness to taste.
- Chill by adding the remaining cup of cold water to the pitcher, then place the tea in the fridge to cool down completely.
- Serve by pouring the chilled Earl Grey Raspberry Iced Tea into glasses filled with ice cubes. Garnish with fresh raspberries and a slice of lemon or a sprig of mint.
Notes
