Description

Delight in the cozy flavors of fall with these warm cinnamon apples, perfect as a side dish or dessert.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 medium apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Toss the apple slices with the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon until well-coated.
  2. Add butter to the Instant Pot and select ‘Sauté’ mode until melted.
  3. Gently add the cinnamon-coated apples to the pot, stirring to combine.
  4. Pour in the water and add vanilla extract if desired.
  5. Close the lid and set the pressure release valve to sealing. Cook on ‘Manual’ high pressure for 1 minute.
  6. Carefully perform a quick release of the pressure.
  7. Serve warm as a side dish or dessert.

Notes

Top with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for an indulgent treat. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to three days.
