Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
  2. Cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Gradually add in the flour, salt, and lemon zest until a crumbly dough forms.
  4. Press two-thirds of the dough into the prepared baking pan to form the base.
  5. Combine the blueberries with the lemon juice and granulated sugar, mixing gently.
  6. Layer the blueberry mixture over the crust in the pan.
  7. Crumble the remaining dough over the blueberries.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the top is lightly golden.
  9. Cool before cutting into bars.
