Description
Crispy, golden pineapple fritter rings that blend sweet and savory flavors, perfect for a tropical treat or dessert.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can of pineapple rings or 1 fresh pineapple, sliced
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 egg
- Oil for frying
- Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Instructions
- If using fresh pineapple, slice it into rings and pat them dry with paper towels.
- In a bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the milk and egg until smooth and creamy.
- Gradually combine the wet and dry ingredients, mixing just until incorporated. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are perfectly fine!
- Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium heat, ensuring it’s hot but not smoking.
- Carefully dip each pineapple ring into the batter, allowing any excess to drip off.
- Place the battered rings into the hot oil and fry until golden brown on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Remove them from the oil and drain on paper towels to absorb any excess oil.
- Dust with powdered sugar if desired, and serve warm for a delectable treat.
Notes
