Ingredients

  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup (optional)
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish, allowing the warmth to fill your kitchen.
  2. Cut the French bread into bite-sized cubes and place them gently in the prepared baking dish.
  3. Whisk together the eggs, milk, pumpkin puree, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until well blended.
  4. Pour the pumpkin mixture over the bread cubes, pressing down gently to soak the bread.
  5. Cover your dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or overnight.
  6. Bake for 45–55 minutes until golden and set.
  7. Drizzle with maple syrup and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
