Description

A delightful and nutritious side dish featuring tender crisp green beans roasted with garlic and topped with savory Parmesan cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 lb (450 g) fresh green beans, trimmed
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ cup (25 g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Wash and trim the green beans, then pat them dry thoroughly to ensure they roast nicely.
  3. Toss the green beans with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper until they’re well coated.
  4. Spread the beans out on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
  5. Roast in the oven for 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  6. Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the beans and roast for another 2–3 minutes, until golden and crispy.
  7. Serve immediately with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice, if desired.

Notes

You can wash and trim the green beans a day in advance.
