- 1 ½ tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 lb (450 g) fresh green beans, trimmed
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- ¼ cup (25 g) grated Parmesan cheese
- Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Wash and trim the green beans, then pat them dry thoroughly to ensure they roast nicely.
- Toss the green beans with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper until they’re well coated.
- Spread the beans out on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
- Roast in the oven for 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the beans and roast for another 2–3 minutes, until golden and crispy.
- Serve immediately with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice, if desired.
Notes
You can wash and trim the green beans a day in advance.
