Description

A nostalgic and healthy snack featuring crispy cucumber chips with a zesty salt and vinegar flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large cucumbers
  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Olive oil (for brushing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 225°F (110°C).
  2. Slice the cucumbers thinly using a mandoline or sharp knife, about 1/8 inch thick.
  3. Combine the white vinegar, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder in a mixing bowl to create a marinade.
  4. Add the cucumber slices to the bowl and toss gently to coat.
  5. Place the cucumber slices in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Brush the tops lightly with olive oil.
  7. Bake for 1 to 2 hours, flipping halfway through for even crisping.
  8. Cool before serving as a healthy snack or appetizer.

Notes

These chips can be stored for up to a week in an airtight container. For a spicy variation, add cayenne pepper or crushed red pepper flakes.
