Description

A creamy and comforting casserole packed with cheesy hashbrowns and savory sausage, perfect for brunch or busy mornings.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb turkey sausage (or ham/turkey bacon)
  • 1 package (30 oz) frozen hashbrowns
  • 8 large eggs
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Chopped green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Cook the turkey sausage (or ham/turkey bacon) over medium heat until browned and fragrant.
  3. Whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder in a large bowl until smooth.
  4. Layer the frozen hashbrowns in the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  5. Spread the cooked sausage over the hashbrowns.
  6. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the top.
  7. Sprinkle the shredded cheese over everything.
  8. Bake for 45-50 minutes until set and golden.
  9. Let it cool, top with chopped green onions, and serve.

Make ahead the night before and refrigerate for easy baking in the morning.
