Description

A refreshing strawberry iced tea perfect for sunny days, made from fresh strawberries, lemon juice, and brewed tea.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups boiling water
  • 4 bags of black or green tea
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 12 tablespoons sugar (optional, to taste)
  • Ice cubes
  • Additional strawberry slices or lemon wedges for garnish

Instructions

  1. Brew the tea in boiling water and let it cool for about 5-7 minutes before removing tea bags.
  2. In a blender, puree the fresh strawberries with a little sugar if desired.
  3. Combine the brewed tea, strawberry puree, and lemon juice in a pitcher.
  4. Taste your creation and adjust the sweetness if necessary.
  5. Serve over ice and garnish with additional strawberry slices or lemon wedges.

Notes

You can prepare the tea and strawberry puree a day in advance. For a bubbly treat, top with a splash of sparkling water.
