Description

Soft, gooey chocolate chip cookies with golden edges, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract, mixing until creamy.
  4. In another bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt, then fold into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Stir in the chocolate chips evenly throughout the dough.
  6. Chill the dough for 30 minutes to help create thick cookies.
  7. Scoop dough into balls and place on the baking sheet with space between each one.
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes until the edges are golden and centers are soft.
  9. Let cool slightly before serving for the best gooey texture.
