- 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Add the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract, mixing until creamy.
- In another bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt, then fold into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Stir in the chocolate chips evenly throughout the dough.
- Chill the dough for 30 minutes to help create thick cookies.
- Scoop dough into balls and place on the baking sheet with space between each one.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes until the edges are golden and centers are soft.
- Let cool slightly before serving for the best gooey texture.
