Scale
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons loose black tea or 2 black tea bags
  • 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)

Instructions

  1. Bring 2 cups of water to a gentle boil in a medium saucepan.
  2. Add the loose black tea or tea bags to steep for about 5 minutes.
  3. If using a vanilla bean, slice it open and scrape out the seeds.
  4. After steeping the tea, reduce the heat and add 1 cup of milk along with the vanilla seeds or extract.
  5. Stir in the sugar or honey and a pinch of salt, adding optional spices if desired.
  6. Strain the liquid into cups if using loose tea, or remove the tea bags. Enjoy warm!
